7628ORDINANCE NO. 7628. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 7042 PASSED JULY 8, 19462 PROVIDING FOR AN INSPECTION BY THE BUILDING COMM- ISSIONER OF THE EXCAVATIONS FOR FOOTINGS IN THE CONSTRUCT - ION OF ALL BUILDINGS AND RESIDENCES, PROVIDING FOR A 24 HOUR NOTICE OF THE COMPLETION TO BE GIVEN TO THE BUILD- ING COMMISSIONER, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCS, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 7042, passed July 8, 1946 be and the same is hereby amended by striking out the last paragraph of said section 1 and substituting the follow- ing: All persons, firms, or corporations constructing new build- ings, residences, or out buildings shall notify the building commissioner twenty -four (24) hours prior to the time he is ready to pour concrete or construct footings, that the excavations for such footings have been completed. No concrete will be poured or footings constructed until the excavations for the same have been inspected and approved by the building commissioner. Upon receipt of the twenty -four (24) hour notice the build- ing commissioner shall make or cause to be made an inspection of the excavations for the footings. The Inspector shall leave a blue card indicating that the excavations are satisfactory or shall leave a red card indicating that the excavations are re- jected. In case the excavations do not meet the requirements of Ordinance 7042 and a red inspection card has been left at the site, another inspection shall be made by the building commissioner upon twenty -Pour hour notice by the builder. SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in con- flict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
