AN ORDINANCE TO VACATE AIM ABANDON AN ALLEY LOCATED IN THE BLOCK
BOUNDED BY CANTRELL ROAD , nRu STREET, CLEVELAND STREET AI4D McKINLE -Y
STREET ,AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
14TIEREAS , a petition was duly filed with the Council of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas on the 20th day of play, 1948, asking
the City Council to vacate and abandon an alley in the block bounded
by Cantrell Road, "R" Street, Cleveland Street and I7cKinley Street,
described as an alley 25 feet in width between Lots 6 and 7, Block
7, Forest Park Addition; Lots 27, 28, 29 and 30, Formandy Addition;
and Lot 49, Paschal Addition; and,
F.EEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Council
has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice heard all persons
desiring- to be heard on the question and has ascertained that the
alley, hereinabove described, has heretofore been dedicated to the
public use, and has not been used by the public generally for a
period of at least fitre years; sm i[nffAtx±mtkz:x2kiitxg that all the
owners of the property abutting upon the portion of the alley to be
vacated have filed with the council their written consent to such
abandonment; and that the public interest and welfare will not be
adversely affected by the abandonment of such alley.
NOVI , THEREFORE, BE IT ORDA INED BY THE CITY COUIdCI L OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK., ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby
releases, vacates and abandons all its rights) together vrith the
rights of the public generally, in and to the alley deli rrmted as
follows:
An alley 25 feet in width between Lots 6 and 7, Block
7, Forest Park Addition; Lots 27, 28, 29 and 30 ,
Normandy Addition; and Lot 49, Paschal Addition.
SECTION 2. A copy of this ordinance duly certified by
the City Clerk, shall be filed in the off ice cf the Recorder of
Pulaski County and recorded in the deed records of the County.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage.
