AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING THAT A REPORT BE MADE TOTHE LITTLE
ROCK FIRE DEPARTMENT OF ALL FIRES IN ANY BUILDING OR
STRUCTURE IN WHICH ANY PART OF SAID BUILDING OR STRUCTURE,
OR THE CONTENTS OR FURNISHINGS THEREOF ARE DAMAGED BY FIRE,
PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF, AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT_ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARK:
SECTION 1. From and after the passage and approval of this
drdinance the occupant, - whether owner or lessee, of any building
or structure located within theCity of Little Rock must immediate-
ly report to the Fire Department any fire in which any part of
said building or structure, or any of the contents or furnishings
thereof are damaged by fire.
SECTION 2. The report as provided in Section 1 hereof shall
be made by telephone,to the Fire Department, giving the extent and
nature of such fire.
SECTION 3., Any person, firm, or corporation violating the
provisions of this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty Pf a misdemeun-
or and upon conviction thereof in the Little Rock Municipal Court
shall be fined in any sum not less than $25.00 nor more than
$100.00.
SECTION 4. All ordinances and /or parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby repealed. Unless the provisions of this
ordinance are put into effect immediately, the public peace, health
and safety of the citizens of Little Rock will be adversely affect-
ed, therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this
ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its pass-
age and approval.
