AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING
CURB AND GUTTER IMPROVEMENT DI9 RICT NO. 574
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, Ate ANSAS
WHEREAS, parties claiming to be the owners of more than
two - thirds in assessed value of the property located within the
territory hereinafter described have filed a petition praying that
an improvement district be established for the purpose hereinafter
set out; and
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the City
Council of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, has heard all the
parties desiring to be heard, and has ascertained that said petition
was signed by more than two- thirds in assessed value of the owners
of real property within said territory;
NOuV, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of
the City of Little Hock, Arkansas;
Section 1. There is hereby established an improvement
district embracing the following property in the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas, to -wit;
Lots 9 to 12, inclusive, Block 1;
Lots 9 to 16, inclusive, Block 2;
Lots 1 to 4, inclusive, Block 4;
All in Riffel and Holder's Addition to the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas; and
Lots 1 to 6, inclusive, and Lot 19, Ensor's
Subdivision of Block 3 of Riffel and Holder's
Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas;
and
Lbts 4 to 12, inclusive, Block 5;
Lots 1, 2, 3, 20, 21:, and 22, block 6;
Lots 1 to 6, inclusive, block 8;
All in Riffel and Holder's Second Addition
to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; and
Lots 4 to 9, inclusive, Block 2;
Lots 4 to 9, inclusive, Block 3;
All in Landreth and Cox Addition to the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas; and
Lots 4 to 9, inclusive, Block 2;
Lots 4 to 92 inclusive, Block 3;

Lion to the City of Little
for the purpose of grading, draining, curbing and guttering, in such
a manner and with such materials as the commissioners to be elected
for the said improvement district shall deem to be for the best
interest of said district, the following parts of the following
streets in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, to -wit:
West 29th Street from the west boundary line of
Lewis Street to the west boundary line of
Washington Street; an
Washington Street from the north boundary line
of West 29th Street to the north boundary line
of West 23rd Street; and
West 230d Street from the east boundary line of
yvashington Street to the east boundary line of
Peyton Street;
and that the cost thereof, over and above any aid received from
any agency of the federal or city government, be assessed and charged
upon the real property above described, provided the liability of each
lot or tract of land shall be limited to its assessed benefits.
Said district shall be known as Curb and Gutter Improvement
District No. 574; and Lewis F. Morgan, I. Lester Gauntt, and A. Milton
Allen, Jr. are hereby named 6ommissioners, who shall compose the
Board of Improvement for said district.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage.
