S:L,CTIO?'a 1. Beginning Jaluary 10, 1949, t,' ;o
positions of building maintenance mechanics are hereby
created in the Ptfolic "orks Depart_ -ient. The person
occupying the position oZ buildin maintenance mechanic
shall receive a :- Monthly salary ranQin- from J75.00 to 5;:225.00
per month.
SECTION 2. The person who shall fill the above
named positions shall be chosen by the Civil Service Commission
in t? manner _-,rovided by law.
SECTION 3. The building maintenance mechanics shall be
under the control of the City Engineer and directly under the
supervision of the Building Maintenance Superintendent. The
build -_n r.aiiztenance mechanics shall maintain and repair the
municipal bui -dings under the jurisdiction of therublic Works
Department and shall }perform such other auties as may be prescribed
by the City iJnnineer. .
S CTIUI3 4. All ordinances and ;arts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed and this ordinance shall be in
full force and effect from and after its passar -e.
