8024ORDINANCE NO. 8024. An ordinance closing and abandoning a portion of East Fourth Street in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, and for other purposes. VHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the City Council of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the _Lj;h„_day of ___Tgne , 191+9 asking the City Council to vacate and abandon all that portion of East Fourth Street between the east line of Byrd Street and the west line of McLean Street as designated on the plat of Rector Town now appearing of record in Deed Record Book 13 at page 539 in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas. WHEREAS, after due notices as required by law, the Council, at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard all persons desiring to be heard on the question and has ascertained that the street hereinabove described has heretofore been dedicated to the public use as a street and that it has not been actually used by the public generally as a street for a period of more than five years and that all the owners of the property abutting upon the portion of the street to be vacated have filed with the Council their written consent to such abandonment and that public interest and welfare will not be adversely effected by the abandonment of said street. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION i. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases, vacates, and forever abandons all its right, title, and interest, together with that of the public generally, in and to the street designated as follows: A. That portion of East Fourth Street in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, lying between the east line of Byrd Street and the west line of McLean Street. On the recorded plat, Fourth Street is shown as Walnut Street. SECTION 2. A copy of this ordinance, duly certified by the City Clerk, shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski County and recorded in the Deed Records of said county. A� SECTION 3.
