ORDINANCE NO. 8041.
AN ORDINANCE AI'!ENDING ORDINANCE N0. 7888 PASSED FEBRU-
ARY 7, 1949, AND FOR OTHER PT3RPOSE'S .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL Or rl'.t CITY OF' LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That Section 1405 of Ordinance No. 7888 pass-
ed February 7, 1949 and known as the Building Code be and the
same is hereby amended by adding the following paragraph:
"Every Group I building shall be provided with at least
one (1) flush type water closet which shall be connected to
the City Sanitary Sewer System if available -within 300 feet
of the property line, or if not available, connected to a sep-
tic tank that has been approved by the City Health Department."
SECTION 2. All building: permit applications will contain
the following question to be answered by the applicant:
ttlf this application is for a one or two family dwelling,
have you complied with Section 1405 ?"
SECTION 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Unless the provisions
of this ordinance are put into effect immediately, the peace,
health, and safety of the citizens of Little Rock will be ad-
versely affected; therefore, an emergency is hereby declared
to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval.
