8062i ORDINANCE NO. 8062, AN ORDINANCE ABOLISHING THE SANITARY SEWER COMMITTEE OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, RE- CREATING SAID COMMITTEE, ES- TABLISHING THE DUTIES THEREOF, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. The present Little Rock Sanitary Sewer Committee is hereby abolished. SECTION 2. From and after the effective date of this ordi- nance the following named persons shall constitute the Little Rock Sanitary Sewer Committee, and they shall perform all the duties here- tofore exercised by the Little Rock Sanitary Sewer Committee, and such other duties as may be prescribed from time to time by the City Council of the City of Little Rock, and the Statutes of the State of Arkansas. Such members shall serve in such capacity for the period set out opposite their respective names: Harry P. Hadfield ..............................1 year William B. Sanders .............................2 years Charles Davis .... ..............................3 years Lee years The chairman of the Health Committee of the Little Rock City Council shall be the 5th member of the Little Rock Sanitary Sewer Comnittee, and he shall serve upon such committee for such a period of time as he may be chairman of the Health Committee of the Little Rock City Council. All members of said Sewer Committee shall serve as such without salary. SECTION 3. At the expiration of the terms of the above named committee members, their successors shall be appointed by the City Council of the City of Little Rock and such successors shall serve for a period of four (4) years, or until their successors are appointed and qualified. SECTION 4. The Little Rock Sewer Committee is hereby directed that no attorney other than the City Attorney be employed to represent the Little Rock Sanitary Sewer System or the said Little Rock Sewer Committee, and that no compensation shall be paid said City Attorney for such services other than that paid him as such elected off icial. SECTION 5. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in con- flict herewith are hereby repealed. Unless the provisions of this ordinance are put into effect immediately, the peace, health and I safety of the citizens of Little Rock will be adversely affected; therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
