AN ORDINANCE MAKING IT UNLAWFUL FOR ANY PERSON WHO IS UNDER THE
INFLUENCE OF INTOXICATING LIQUOR TO DRIVE OR OPERATE ANY VEHICLE
UPON ANY OF THE STREETS OR ROADS WITHIN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS; PROVIDING A PENALTY THEREFOR; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARK.:
SECTION 1, From and after the passage and approval of this
ordinance it shall be unlawful for any person who is under the in-
fluence of intoxicating liquor to drive or operate any vehicle up-
on any of the highways, streets, or roads within the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas.
SECTION 2. Every person who is convicted in the Little Rock
Municipal Court of the violation of this ordinance shall be punish-
ed as follows:
(1) On the first conviction, such person shall be punished
by a fine of not less than Twenty Five Dollars ($25.00) nor more
than One Hundred Dollars ($100.00); and /or imprisonment for not
less than three (3) days nor more than thirty (30) days; provided
further that the court shall revoke the offender's drivers license
for a period of not less than thirty (30) days.
(2) On the second conviction, such person shall be punished
by a fine of not less than Fifty. Dollars ($50.00) nor more than
Three Hundred Dollars (300.00) and imprisonment for not less than
ten (10) days nor more than six (6) months, and the court shall
further revoke the offender's drivers license for a period of not
less than three (3) months.
(3) On the third conviction, such person shall be punished
by a fine of not less than One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) nor more
than Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00) and imprisonment for not less
than thirty (30) days nor more than one (1) year, and the court
shall further revoke the offender's drivers license for a period of
one (1) year.
SECTION 3. In computing the number of convictions, a forfeit-
ure of a bond for the alleged violation of this ordinance shall be
considered a conviction thereof.
SECTION 4. It shall be the duty of the Municipal Court to
immediately transmit an abstract of the record of every conviction
of this ordinance to the Commissioner of State Revenues.

SECTION 5. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby repealed. Unless the provisions of this
ordinance are put into effect immediately, the peace, health and
safety of the citizens of Little Rock Will be adversely affected;
therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this or-
dinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval.
