AN ORDINANCE LEVYING AN ADDITIONAL 5% OF THE
ASSESSMENT OF BENEFITS AGAINST THE SEVERAL
LOTS, BLOCKS AND PARCELS OF LAND WITHIN ANNEX
#2 TO STREET IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT #531 of THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
Whereas, Annex Number 2 to Street Improvement District Number 531
+ of tbg City of Little Rock, Arkansas, was organized in the year,
1940 at which time by Ordinance Number 5949 of the City Council
of Little Rock, Arkansas, eight (8) per cent per annum of the as-
sessment of be was levied on each of the lots, blocks and par-
cels of land within said district, payable on the 1st day of Febru-
ary of each year; and whereas nine of said annual 8% assessments
have been made, with the tenth one due and payable on the 1st day
a of February, 1950; and whereas the last remaining bonds of said dis-
trict plus interest and paying fee, aggregating $211.00 will mature
on October 1, 1950 and there will not be sufficient funds on hand to
pay same and it is therefore necessary that an additional five (5) per
cent assessment be levied in order to promptly pay said indebtedness
at its maturity;
Therefore, Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas;
SECTION 1. That there be levied against the several lots, blocks and
parcels of land in said district a five (5) per cent assessment of
benefits which is in addition to the eight (8) per cent already lev-
ied, and that said levy shall be payable on or before the 1st day of
February, 1950.
SECTION 2. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby repealed, and this ordinance
shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
