AN ORDINANCE REPEALING THAT PART OF ORDINANCE NO. 7444
RELATING TO PERSONS ENGAGED IN THE BUSINESS OF WINDOW
DISPLAY ADVERTISING, PLACING A PRIVILEGE TAX UPON PER-
SONS ENGAGED IN THE BUSINESS OF DISPLAY ADVERTISING,
DECLARING AN FPiERGENCY, AND FOR OTETER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF ThE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That part of Section 1 (a) of Ordinance ilo.
7444 of the Ordinances of the City of Little Rock which reads
as follows: "Persons engaged in the business of window dis-
play advertising. . . $75.00." is hereby repealed.
SECTION 2. From and after the passage of this ordinance
all persons engaged in the business of display advertising in
the City of Little Rock shall be required to pay the sum of
$75.00 per year as an annual privilege tax to the City of
Little Rock for the privilege of engaging in such business.
SECTION 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby repealed. Unless the provisions of
this ordinance are put into force and effect immediately, the
peace, health, and safety of the citizens of Little Rock will
be adversely affected; therefore, an emergency is hereby de-
clared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval.
