THIS IS AN ORDINANCE Al2NDING ORDINANCE 8018 WHICH CREATED
THE POSITION OF TYPHUS CONTROL DIRECTOR, AND OTHER POSITIONS
WITHIN SAID DEP�iaTMT: DELEGATING THE AUTHORITY TO ENFORCE
THE PROVISIONS OF THE TYPHUS CONTROL ORDINANCE AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNTIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSt1S :
SECTION 1. All positions created within the Typhus Control
Department by Ordinance No. 8018 passed June 6, 1949 are hereby
abolished with the exception of the Typhus Control Director
SECTION 2. The authority for enforcing the provisions of
Ordinance No. 6836, known as the Typhus Control Ordinance, is
hereby vested in the City Health Officer. The inspections
provided for in said ordinance will be made by The Typhus Control
Director and the Sanitarians and Assistant Sanitarians of the City
Health Department.
SECTION 3. The terms and provisions of Ordinance No. 6836
shall remain intact provided however, that the City of Little Rock
will not engage in any rat- proofing construction work of any kind
or nature, but confine its duties to inspections and enforcement only.
SECTION 4. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
