ORDINANCE No. 8
AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE RANK AND SALARY TO BE RECEIVED
BY FIRE ALARM OPERATORS AND ASSISTANT FIRE INSPECTORS =;
OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 8316, DECLARING AN EMERGENCY,
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,

SECTION 1. That the persons holding the position of Fire
Alarm Operator within the Fire Department of the City of Little
Rock shall be of equal rank and receive the same pay as persons
holding the position of Driver within said Department.
SECTION 2. That the persons holding the position of Assis-
tant Fire I7pspector within the Ffre Department of the City of
Little Rock shall be of equal rank and receive the same pay as
persons holding the position of Captain within said Department.
SECTION 3. That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 8316 is hereby
amended to conform to the provisions of this ordinance. All 'or-
dinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby,
repealed; unless the provisions of this ordinance are put into
effect immediately the peace, health, and safety of the citizens
of Little Rock will be adversely aff ,6cted; therefore, an emer-
gency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be
in full force and effect from and after its passage and approW1.
