3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH ALTEC INDUSTRIES, INC., IN THE TOTAL
5 AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY -SEVEN THOUSAND, EIGHT
6 HUNDRED DOLLARS ($177,800.00), FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWO (2)
7 SERVICE TRUCKS WITH AERIAL UNITS, UTILIZING THE
8 NATIONAL JOINT POWER ALLIANCE (NJPA) CONTRACT; AND FOR
9 OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Police Department is in need of two (2) Service Trucks with Aerial
12 Units for the purpose of deploying and maintaining crime monitoring cameras throughout the City of
13 Little Rock; and,
14 WHEREAS, by utilizing the National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA) Contract, the City Fleet
15 Services can purchase two (2) Service Trucks with Aerial Units, for the total amount of One Hundred
16 Seventy -Seven Thousand, Eight Hundred Dollars ($177,800.00);
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
18 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract for the
20 purchase of two (2) Service Trucks with Aerial Units for use by the Little Rock Police Department,
21 utilizing the National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA) Contract, for the amount of One Hundred Seventy -
22 Seven Thousand, Eight Hundred Dollars ($177,800.00).
23 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the Special Projects account for Police Vehicles.
24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
25 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
28 resolution.
29 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
30 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
