BE IT ORDAIT 'aD B`,' THE CITY COUNCIL OF ThE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARK -
ANSAS
SECTION? 1. That the engineer previously retained for the Air-
port rehabilitation is hereby= authorized and directed to prepare
plans and specifications for the extension of the Northeast - Southwest
Runway of the Little Rock I` "unicipal Airport, and for the strengthen-
ing and rehabilitation of the existing portion thereof, together with
all necessary grading, drainage, l'encinf,, and lighting incident there-
to for the purpose of the installation of an instrument landing sys-
tm by the Federal Government.
�ECTIol,, 2. The Board of Public Affairs is hereby authorized
and directed to begin negotiations for the removal of obstructions
in the approach to the landing area of said ruriway as outlined in
the obstruction survey made by the Civil Aeronautics Adrinistration.
SFCTI0Y �). The -layor is here_)y authorized and directed to
execute on behalf of the City of Little Rock a project application
to the Adr:inistrator of the Civil Aeronautics Administration for,
federal funds to pay the cost of the construction of the instrument
landing system, together with any incidentals thereto, including, the
rerno,leal of obstructions, land acquisition, and lighting facilities
1i all of which is to be accor,;lished under the terms and provisions
of the Federal Airpm t Act.
4. Ail ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall be in full
force and effect froi and after its passage and approval.
