CHICAGO, ROCK ISLAND AND PACIFIC RAILWAY CO; AND A PORTION OF AN ALLEY IA
BLOCK TWO, DODGE'S ADDITION, IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, a petition was filed with the City Council of the City of
` Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 9th day of October, 1950, asking the City Conm-
ell to vacate and abandon all that portion of East Fourteenth Street between
Geyer Street and Dodge Street, abutting Blocks Seven and Two, Dodge's Addition;
That portion of Dodge Street lying between Lots Seven and ft t: lock Sedge =s Addition,. and the Right- of� -Itay of the Chicago, �i4' nd`awd Pa-
cific Railway, and
A twenty -foot alley running north and south between Lots Five and Six,
and Lots Seven and Eight, Block Two, Dodge's Addition, to the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas, now appearing of record in Record Book AB, Page 224, and Roc-
ord Book 3-2, Page 630, in the Office of the Recorder of Pulaski County, Ark -

WHEREAS, after due notices as required by law, the Council has, at the
time and place mentioned in the notices heard all persons desiring to be heard
on the question and has ascertained that the streets and alley, hereinbefore
described, have heretofore been dedicated to the public use as streets and al-
ley herein described; have not been actually used by the public generally for
a period of at least five years subsequent to the filing of the plats; that all
the owners of property abutting upon the streets and alley to be vacated have
filed with the Council their written consent to such abandonment; and that pub -
lie interest and welfare will nat be adversely affected by the abandonment of
such streets and alley;
NOW, THS YORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases, vacates and
abandons all its rights, together with the rights of the public
generally, in and to the,streets and alley designated as followss
(1) East Fourteenth Street between Geyer Street and Dodge Street,
abutting Blocks Seven and Two, Dodge's Addition;
(2). That portion of Dodge Street lying between Lots Seven and
Eight, Block Two, Dodge's Addition, and the Right -of -Way of
the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railway; and
(3) A twenty -foot alley running north and south between Lots
Five and Six,, and Lots Seven and Eight, Block Two, Dodge's
Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
now appearing of record in Record Book AB, Page 224, and Record
Book M-2, Page 630, in the Officeof the Recorder of Pulaski
County, Arkansas.
SECTION 2. A copy of the ordinance duly certified by the City Clerk of Little
Rock, Arkansas, shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of
Pulaski County, Arkansas, and recorded in the Deed Records of said
County.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in farce from and after
its passage.
