AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING STREET IMPROVEMENT
DISTRICT NO. 1 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.

WHEREAS, Parties claiming to be more than two - thirds in value
as shown by the last county assessment of the property located within
t4e,,,terr..itory hereinafter described have filed a petition praying that an
improvement district be established for the purpose hereafter set out;
and
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the City Council
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, has heard all parties desiring
to be heard, and has ascertained that said petition was signed by more
than two- thirds in value, as shown by the last county assessment, of
the owners of real property situated within said territory;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas:
SECTION 1. There is hereby established an improvement district
exbracing the following property in the City of Little Rock:
Begin at the northeast corner of Lot 12, Block 4,
Oak Forest Addition to the City of Little Rock,
run thence south to a point on the south line of
West 16th Street, which point is 133.5 feet from
the west line of Taylor Street; thence westwardly
along the south line of West 16th Street a distance
of 687.7 feet more or less to a point 45 feet south
of the southwest corner of Lot 11, Block 7; - "Oak
Forest Gardens Addition to the City of Little Rock,
as now shown by unrecorded plat; thence north a distance
of 1295 feet to a point on the south line of West 12th
Street, which point is 178 feet west of Pierce Street;
thence east along the south line of West 12th Street
to the point of beginning;

, draining, curbing, guttering, and paving in
the manner and of the materials that the Commissioners for Vae saga.
District, to be hereinafter appointed, shall deem for the best interest
of the District, the following described streets:
Filmore Street: From the south line of the pavement
on West 12th Street south to the
south line of West 16th Street.
Pierce Street: Fron:the south line of the pavement
on West 12th Street south to the
south line of West 16th Street.
Said District shall be known as Street Improvement District
No. 591 of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Dr. J. R. Grant, W. H. Patterson,
and C. M. Conway are hereby named Commissioners.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage.
