8706ORDINANCE NO. 87o6 AN ORDINANCE CREATING ANNUAL VACATION LEAVE NOT TO EXCEED FIFTEEN (15) DAYS FOR ALL CITY EMPLOYEES OF THE NON - UNIFORMED GROUPS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. There is hereby created, in addition to all other leaves now authorized for City Employees, a fifteen (15) consecutive calendar day leave period, or the equivalent thereto for each employee of the City who has faithfully served the City as an employee for a period of one year prior to the time of requesting a vacation leave. SECTION 2. The salary of such employee while on leave shall be paid in the same manner as salary is now paid and in the same amount, SECTI0W'3!. No employee of the City shall be entitled to more than one vacation leave as provided herein in any one calendar year. SECTION k. This ordinance shall not apply to employees of the Police and Fire Departments of the City. SECTION 5. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and unless the provisions of this ordinance are put into effect immediately, the public peace, health and safety of the people of Little Rock, Arkansas, will be adversely affected; therefore an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
