AN ORDINANCE ORDERING THE REMOVAL AND RAZING OF A ROW OF
HOUSES KNOWN AS FISHER ROW IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS; DIRECTING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO TAKE SUCH
ACTION AS MAY BE NECESSARY TO ACCOMPLISH THE RESULT
DESIRED BY THIS ORDINANCE, DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That since the owner of real property in the

" of Little Rock known as Fisher'Row, more particularly described
as Lots 8 and 9, Block 10, Rectortown Addition to the City of Little
Rock, has allowed such property to become run down, dilapidated,
unsafe, unsightly, dangerous, obnoxious and detrimental to the public
welfare of the citizens of Little Rock, and since in its present
condition such property is a serious fire hazard, with the result
that surrounding property may be destroyed by fire originating in
these unsafe and hazardous structures, the owner of said property
is hereby ordered to remove or raze the buildings upon said pro -oerty
within thirty (30) days from the effective date of this ordinance.
jr -, SECTION 2. That upon the failure of the owner of .said
property to remove it or raze it within the required time, the City
Attorney is hereby directed to institute such legal proceedings
against such owner or owners as may be necessary for the purpose of
enforcing the provisions of this ordinance and to remedy the dangerous
and unsightly conditions brought about as a result of the failure of
the owner or owners to properly keep up said property.
SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and unless the provisions of
this ordinance are put into effect immediately the public peace,
health and safety of the citizens of Little Rock will be adversely
affected; therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to'exist, and
this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval.
