8950k- _. ORDINANCE NO. 8950___ AN ORDINANCE GRANTING TO DR. RAYMOND C. COOK THE RIGHT TO BUILD AND MAINTAIN A LOADING DOCK 100 FEET LONG BY 9 FEET WIDE, BUILT OF REINFORCED CONCRETE, ADJOINING PROPERTY DESCRIBED AS THE EAST HALF OF LOT 3 AND LOTS 49 5 AND 6, BLOCK 14, RECTORTOWN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, SAID PROPERTY BEING LOCATED BETWEEN BYRD AND McLEAN STREETS ON EAST CAPITOL AVENUE; FIXING THE ANNUAL RENTAL AT T{aiENTY -FIVE DOLLARS ($25-00, AND FOR 0 THTR PURPOSES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. That for and in consideration of the payment of Twenty -Five Dollars ($25.00) per annum, payable annually in advance, by Dr. Raymond C. Cook, his successors or assigns, the City of Little Rock does hereby grant the right to said Dr. Raymond C. Cook, his successors or assigns, to build and maintain for a period of Fifes tyy years a loading dock 100 feet long by 9 feet wide at car - door height, in accordance with the rules of the Interstate Commerce Commission, opposite the East half of Lot 3 and Lots 4, 5 and 6, Block 14, Rectbr town Addition to the City of Little Rock, said property being located between Byrd and McLean Streets on East Capitol Avenue. The property line of the lots described to the center line of the Rock Island track running down East Capitol Avenue is 17a feet. The dock will have no roof or side enclosures. SECTION 2. It is further agreed that Dr. Raymond C. Cook shall hold the City harmless from any damages of any kind occasioned by building and maintaining said loading dock as hereinbefore described. It is further understood that said loading dock shall in no way interfere with traffic on the street opposite it or with any sidewalks. SECTION 3. That said Dr. Raymond C. Cook, 601 Scott Street, shall within twenty (20) days after the passage of this ordinance signify his acceptance of the terms and -2- provisions thereof by a proper certificate and endorsement of the record thereof. That all rights herein granted shall cease and determine on and after Fifty years from July 7, 1952., and at that time Dr. Raymond C. Cook, his successors or assigns, shall remove said loading dock at his or their own expense. SECTION 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after July 7, 1952.
