AN ORDINANCE GRANTING THE RIGHT TO ALL ELECTED CITY
OFFICIALS, WHOSE CONNECTION WITH THE CITY IS SEVERED,
TO CONTINUE TO CARRY GROUP INSURANCE THROUGH THE CITY,
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1. That all elected city officials of Little
Rock who have contracted through the City for group insurance during
their
tenure in office
shall
have the right to continue such insurance
after
the severance of
their
connection with the City by paying the
full premium due on such insurance into the office of the City Collector.
SECTION 2. That the master policy of the insurance company
carrying the group insurance for the City, and also each and every
policy issued by it to elected city officials, shall carry a provi-
sion providing that such elected city officials, upon the termination
of their employment with the City, may continue to carry such insur-
ance through the group insurance plan of the City by paying thereon
the full premium into the City Collector's Office,
SECTION 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall be in
full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
