ORDINANCE NO. 8987
AN ORDINANCE TO ABANDON AND VACATE AN ALLEY LYING IN BLOCK 10,
POPE'S ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK.
WHEREAS, a petition was filed with the City Council of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 13th day of August, 1952,
asking the City Council to vacate and abandon_ all that portion of
the alley designated on the plat of Pope's Addition to said City,
now appearing of record in Plat Book H, Page 30, in the office of the
Recorder of Pulaski County, which alley lies in Block 10, Pore's
Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
WHEREAS, after due notices as required by law, the Council
has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard all persons
desiring to be heard on the question and has ascertained th,,t the
alley hereinbefore described, has heretofore been dedicated to the
public use as an alley herein described; has not been actually used
by the public generally for a period of at least five years subsequent
to the filing of the plat; that all the owners of the property
abutting upon the portion of the alley to be vacated have filed with
the Council their written consent to such abandonment; and that
public interest and welfare will not be adversely affected by the
4 abandonment of such alley.
NOW,. THEREFORE, be it ORDAINED by the City Council of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas:
Section 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases,
vacates and abandons all its rights together with the rights of the
public generally, in and to the alley designated as follows:
All that portion of the alley situated in Block 10,
Pope's Addition to the City of Little Rock, and
which separates Lots 7, 81 91 10, 11 and 12, Block 10,
from Lots 11 2, 3, 11 5 and 6, of said Block 10, as
shown by the official plat aforesaid.
Section 2. A copy of the Ordinance duly certified by the

City Clerk shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of the
County and recorded in the deed records of the County.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage.
