AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONVING AN ALLEY RUNNING SOUTH FROM WEST
12TH STREET TO WEST 13TH STREET MIDWAY BETWEEN PEYTON AND WASHINGTON
STREETS IN _ THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS,& Petition was filed with the City Council of the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, on the th day of August 1952,asking the
City Council to vacate and abandon all that portion of an alley which
attends Soath from West 12th Street to West 13th Street midway between
Peyton Street and Washington Street and lying between Lots 5 and 6,Block
S of Sydney J.Johnson's Addition on the East as shown by Plat recorded
in Pitt Book AB at Page 288 and Lots 1,2 and 3 of Block 1 of H.F.13ahler0a
9th Addition to the City of Little Rock,Arkaneas on the West , as shown by
Plat recorded in 'Plat Book 4 at Page 180 in the office of the Uircuit
Clerk and Recorder of Pulaski County,Arkansee,and
WHEREAS,after due notice as required by law,the Council at the time
and place mentioned in said notice,heard all persons desiring to be heard
on the question,and has ascertained that the alley,or the portion thereof
hereinbefore described has heretofore been dedicated to the public as an
alley; that said portion of said alley has not been actually used by the
public generally as a street or alley for a period of five (5) years next
prior to the filing of said petition: that all of the owners of the
property abutting upon that portion of said alley to be vacated have filed.
with the City Council their written petitian for such abandonment, and
that public interest and welfare will not be adversely affected by the
abandonment of said alley.
HOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK,ARAANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the City of Little Rock,Arkansas, hereby releases,
vapates and abandons all of its 'rights,together with the rights of the
general public in and to the alley designated as follows:
In alley extending South from West 12th Street to West
13th Street midway between Peyton Street and Washington
Street in the City of Little Rock,Arkansas,ond lying
between Lots 5 and 6.Block 3 of Sydney J.Hohnson's
Addition to the City of Little Rock,Arkensas on the East,
Aw7shown by Plat recorded in Plat Book AB at Page 288,and
Lots 1,2 arat 3 of Blook 1 of H.F.Buhler's 9th Addition to
the City of Little Rook,Arkaneas on the West as shown by
Plat recorded in Plat Book 4 at Page 180 in the office of
the Circmit Clerk and Recorder of Pulaski County,Arkansae.
SECTION E. That a copy of this Ordinance,daly certified
by the City Clerk shall be filed in the Office of the Recorder
of Falaski Coanty,Arkansas wd recorded in the Bead Records of
said Coant3r»
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
foree from and after its passage.
