ORDINANCE NO. 9027.

AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE RATE OF TAXATION OF
PROPERTY FOR CITY PURPOSES FOR THE YEAR 1952 FOR
VARIOUS FUNDS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; DECLARING
AN EPICRGENCY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the rate of taxation on real and personal
property in the City of Little Rock for certain City purposes
for the year 1952, be and the same is hereby fixed and established
and levied as follows:
For General purposes in order to carry on the
affairs of the City Government under Section
41 Article 12, of the Constitution of 1874,
there is hereby levied a tax of Five (5) mills.
For the purpose of paying Bonds and Interest
of the City of Little Rock as may be required
in the Airport, Fire Equipment and Hospital
Annex Bond Issue of November 1st, 1929, a tax
of Two and Eighty One Hundredths (2.80 ) mills.
For the purpose of paying bonds and Interest
of the City of .Little Rock as may be required
in the Fair Park Improvement Bond Issue of
October 1st, 1940, a tax of Twenty Hundredths
(.20) of a mill.
For the purpose of paying Bonds and Interest of
the City of Little Rock as may be required in
the Park Improvement Bond Issue of Parch 1, 19492
a tax of Thirty Hundredths (.30) of a mill.
For the purpose of paying Policemants Pensions,
in accordance with the provisions of Amendment
No. 31 to the Constitution of the State of Arkansas,
a tax of One (1) mill.
For the purpose of maintaining the City Library,
in accordance with the provisions of an amendment
to the Constitution of the State of Arkansas,
adopted November 5, 1940, a tax of One (1) mill.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to transmit a
certified copy of this ord1nance to the County Clerk of Pulaski
County to the end that the taxes herein recited may be extended
on the taxbooks of Pulaski County and collected with the other
taxes for the year 1952.

SECTION 3. Action under the terms of this ordinance is
immediately necessary if the public health program, policy and
protection be not seriously curtailed, and such curtailment would
result in endangering the health, lives and property of the
citizens of Little Rock, and this ordinance being necessary for
the public peace, health and safety of the citizens of Little
Rock, therefore an emergency is hereby declared to exist and
this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after
the date of its passage*
