AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 11 OF ORDINANCE NO. 9006
BY CHANGING THE POSITION OF VETERINARIAN CONSULTANT
FROM A PART -TIME POSITION TO A FULL -TIME POSITION OF
EMPLOYMENT; CHANGING THE TITLE THEREOF TO VETERINARIAN
AND DIRECTOR OF INSPECTIONS; ESTABLISHING THE SALARY
THEREOF AT FOUR HUNDRED AND FIFTEEN (415.00) PER MONTH;
OUTLINING THE DUTIES OF THE POSITION, AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCS, ARKAN SAS :
SECTION 1. That Section 11 of Ordinance No. 9006 be and it
is hereby amended by changing the position of Veterinarian Consultant
from a part -time position of employment to a full -time position of em-
ployment. The title of said position is hereby changed to Veterinarian
and Director of Inspections and the salary is hereby increased from
Ninety Dollars (90.00) per month to Four Hundred and Fifteen Dollars
*15.00) per month.
SECTION 2. That the duties of said Veterinarian and Director
of Inspections shall be the enforcement of all ordinances, laws or regu-
lations of the City -of Little Rock, Arkansas, regarding the inspection
or processing of all meat and milk products from the source to the con-
sumer, and such other dutieslas the City Council may from time to time
direct.
SECTION 3. That the said Veterinarian and Director of Inspec-
tions shall have supervision over the following employees of the Health
Department:
The Neat Inspectors;
The Milk and Dairy Inspectors;
Such other employees as may be
assigned by the City Council.
SECTION 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby amended to conform with this ordinance, and unless
the provisions of this ordinance are put into effect immediately the
public peace, health and safety will be injuriously affected; therefore
an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in
full force and effect as of January 1, 1953
