AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 7494 AS AMENDED
BY ORDINANCE N0. 8154: PROVIDING THAT ANY MEMBER OF
THE CITY BEAUTIFUL COMMISSION WHO MISSES THREE (3)
CONSECUTIVE MEETINGS SHALL HAVE HIS TERM OF OFFICE
AUTOMATICALLY TERMINATED AND PROVIDING FOR THE
APPOINTMENT OF A SUCCESSOR THEREOF, AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. Section 3 of Ordinance No. 7494 as
amended by Section 1 of Ordinance No. 8154 shall hereby be
amended to read as follows:
"Section 3. Out of said membership there shall be appointed
by the Mayor and confirmed by the Gity Council a Board of
Governors which shall consist of not to exceed twenty (20)
members including a representative for each ward. Should any
member of the City Beautiful Commission fail to attend three
(3) consecutive meetings, the term of such member shall
automatically terminate and a new member shall be appointed by
the Mayor to fill the unexpired term of the aforesaid member
whose term is terminated."
SECTION 2. Section 4 of Ordinance No. 7494 as amended
by Section 2 of Ordinance No. 8154 shall be amended to read as
follows:
"Section 4. Immediately thereafter a meeting of the Board
of Governors of the City Beautiful Commission shall be held.
Length of terms of memberships shall be determined by members
drawing lots. Members shall hold office for terms of four (4)
years. Officers, which shall be a chairman and two (2) vice -
chairman holding office for one year, shall be elected. Officers
may succeed themselves. The Superintendent of Parks and Recrea-
tion shall serve this Commission as secretary - treasurer without

p6wer of vote. Seven (7) members shall constitute a quorum."
SECTION 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance
shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval.
