9151ORDINANCE NO. 9151 AN ORDINANCE TO ABANDON AND VACATE A PORTION OF GOULD STREET IN BLOCK 2, FORBES? PLACE ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK: Whereas, a petition was filed with the City Council of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the th day of March , 1953, asking the City Council to vacate and abandon all the hereinafter described portion of Gould Street (sometimes re- ferred to as V Street) designated on the plat of Forbes' Place Addition to said City, now appearing of record in Plat Book 1 , Page 232, in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski County, which street lies in Block 2, Forbes' Place Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas. Whereas, after due notice as required by law, the Council has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard all persons desiring to be heard on the question and has ascertained that the street hereinbefore mentioned has heretofore been dedi- cated to the public use as the street herein described but has not actually been used by the public generally for a period of at least five years prior to the filing of the petition; that all the owners of the property abutting upon the portion of the street and alley to be vacated have filed with the Council their written consent to such abandonment; and that the public interest and welfare will not be adversely affected by the abandonment of such street. NOW, THEREFORE, be it ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas: SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock hereby releases, va- cates, and abandons all its rights together with the rights of the public generally, in and to the street designated as follows: The 110 foot strip of Gould Street ( sometimes re- ferred to as V Street) adjoining and lying immedi- ately South of Lot 7, Block 2, FORBES' PLACE ADDITION to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; the said strip being bordered on its South partly by Lot 8 and partly by Lot 9, Block 2, NEWTON ADDITION to the City of Little Rock. . 10 I SECTION 2. A copy of this ordinance duly certified by the City Clerk shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of the County and recorded in the deed records of the County. SECTION 3.
