AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 9 OF ORDINANCE NO. 7358
TO PROVIDE FOR INSPECTION FEES FROM RETAIL ESTABLISH-
MENTS WHO HANDLE FROZEN DESSERTS WHERE THE MANUFACTURER
DOES NOT PAY ANY INSPECTION FEES, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. Section 9 of Ordinance No. 7358 is hereby
amended to read as follows:
"Retail Outlets: Retail outlets which do not manufacture,
freeze or otherwise prepare ice -cream or other frozen desserts
but purchase same for resale at retail from establishments that
have paid the inspection fee as provided for under Section 8 of
Ordinance No. 7358 are exempt from paying an inspection fee.l�
"Retail establishments that purchase ice -cream or other
frozen desserts from persons operating an ice -cream plant and /or
counter freezer that have not paid the inspection fees as provided
for in Section 8 of Ordinance No. 7358 shall pay an annual
inspection fee of Thirty -Five Dollars ($35.00), which payment
shall be made within fifteen (15) days from the date the original
shipment was received."
SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and if the provisions of
this ordinance are not immediately enforced, the public peace,
health and safety will be adversely affected; therefore, an
emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this ordinance shall
be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage and
approval.
