AX ORDINANCE DECWING THE OPERATION OF A DRIVE -IN
THUTRE WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
#OCK TO BE A PRIVILEGE, ESTABLISHING A TAX THEREFOR,
,PROVIDING A PEULTY FOR FAILURE TO PAY SAID TAX, AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
!, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
I
SECTION 1. That it is hereby declared to be a privilege
to operate a drive -in theatre within the city limits of the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas.
SECTION 2. That the privilege tax for license to
operate a drive -in theatre within the City of Little Rock shall be
based on the admission price charged per speaker unit operated by
said drive -in theatre. That thetaxxsshall be one -half of the
admission price charged per speaker by said drive -in theatre.
SECTION 3. That the tax shall be collected annually,
beginning the first day of January, 1953.
SECTION 4. That failure to pay said tax within 30
days after it is due shall be considered a misdemeanor and the
owner or owners or the operator or manager of said drive -in theatre
shall be subject to a fine of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) per day
for his failure to pay said tax. Each day shall constitute a
separate offense.
SECTION 5. All ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall
beds full force and effect from and after its passage and approval,
