AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF TWENTY -FIVE
THOUSAND DOLLARS ($252000.00) FOR THE PURPOSE OF
PAYING THE LITTLE ROCK HOUSING AUTHORITY FOR LAND
DESCRIBED AS BLOCK 272 OF THE ORIGINAL CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, UPON WHICH A NEGRO COMMUNITY CENTER
IS TO BE ERECTED, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The sum of Twenty -Five Thousand Dollars
($25,000.00) is hereby appropriated to pay to the Little Rock
Housing Authority for land described as Block 272 of the
Original City of Little Rock, on which to erect a Negro
Community Center.
SECTION 2. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby
authorized and directed to issue the City's warrant in the
sum of Twenty -Five Thousand Dollars ($252000.00) payable to
the Little Rock Housing Authority for property described as
Block 272, Original City of Little Rock.
SECTION 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance
shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval.
