AN ORDINANCE TO VACATE AND ABANDON THE ALLEY RUNNING
EAST AND WEST THROUGH THE MIDDLE OF BLACK 1 OF WINIFRED
ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, WHICH
EXTENDS FROM THE EAST PROPERTY LINE OF BROWN STREET TO
THE WEST PROPERTY LINE OF ALLIS STREET; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the City Council of
Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 30 day of March, 1953, asking the

` City Council to vacate and abandon the alley as designated on the plat
of Winifred Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, now appear -
i ing in Plat Book 2, Page 155, and running east and west through the
middle of said Block 1, being bounded on the west by the east property
line of Brown Street and on the east by the west property line of Allis
Street, and
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Council
has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard all persons
desiring to be heard on the question and has ascertained that the
alley, hereinabove described, has heretofore been dedicated to the
public use, and has not been used by the public generally for a period
of at least five years subsequent to the filing of the plat; that the
owner of all the property abutting upon the portion of the alley to be
vacated has filed with the Council its written consent to such abandon-
ment; and that the public interest and welfare will not be adversely
affected by the abandonment of such portion of the said alley.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS;
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases,
vacates and abandons all its rights, together with the rights of the
public generally, in and to that portion of the alley designated as
follows;
All that portion of the alley as designated on the plat
of Winifred Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
{ now appearing in Plat Book 2, Page 155, and running east
{� and west through the middle of Block 1, Winifred Addition
to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, and being bounded
on the west by the east property line of Brown Street and
on the east by the west property line of Allis Street, and
on the south by the south line of Lots 1 to 6 inclusive of
said Block 1 and on the north by the north line of Lots 7
to 12 inclusive of said Block 1.

SECTION 2. A copy of this ordinance duly certified by the
City Clerk, shall be filed in the Office of the Recorder of Pulaski
County.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage.
