AN ORDINANCE TO VACATE AND ABANDON AN ALLEY RUNNING
NORTH AND SOUTH THROUGH BLOCK ONE, REMMEL ADDITION
TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the City Council of
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas on the 30th day of March, 1953,
asking the City Council to vacate and abandon the alley running North
and South through Block one, Remmel Addition to the City of Little
Rock, said alley being bounded on the East by Lots One to Ten, in-
elusive, and being bounded on the West by Lots Nineteen to Twenty- eight,
inclusive, in saidBlock; and
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law the Council has,
at the time and place mentioned in said notice, heard all persons de-
siring to be heard on the question and has ascertained that the alley,
hereinablove described, has heretofore been dedicated to the public
use, and has not been used by the public generally for a period of at
least five years subsequent to the filing of the plat; that the owners
of all the property abutting upon the portion of the alley to be vacated
have filed with the Council their written consent to such abandonment;
and that the public interest and welfare will not be adversely affected
by the abandonment of such portion of the said alley; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas hereby releases,
vacates and abandons all its rights, together with the rights of the
public generally, in and to that portion of the alley designated as
follows:
All that portion of the alley running North and South
through Block One, Remmel Addition to the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas bounded on the East by the West
property line of Lots One to Ten, inclusive, in said
Block, and on the West by the East property line of
Lots Nineteen to Twenty- eight, inclusive, in said Block.
SECTION 2. A copy of this ordinance duly certified by the
City Clerk shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski

SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage.
