AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF FOUR HUNDRED AND
FORTY,FOUR DOLLARS AND FIFTY CENTS ($444.50) FOR THE
PURPOSE OF PAYING THE ARKANSAS BAPTIST HOSPITAL ONE
HUNDRED AND FORTY -FOUR DOLLARS AND FIFTY CENTS ($144.50),
DR. JOE SHUFFIELD TWO HUNDRED AND NINETY DOLLARS ( 290.00),
AND 'TWIN CITY AMBULANCE COMPANY TEN DOLLARS ($10.00), IN
CONNECTION WITH INJURIES SUSTAINED BY J. C. COOPER,
FIREMAN, WHO WAS INJURED WHILE ON DUTY, AND FOR OTHER
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TBE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated the sum of
Four Hundred and Forty -Four Dollars and Fifty Cents ($444.50) for
the purpose of paying the Arkansas Baptist Hospital-the sum of
One Hundred and Forty -Four Dollars and Fifty Cents ($144.50) for
hospitalization of J. C. Cooper, City Fireman, who was injured
while on duty October 31, 1952; and to pay Dr. Joe Shuffield Two
Hundred and Ninety Dollars ($290.00) for treatment of J. C.
Cooper, and Twin City Ambulance Company Ten Dollar-s ($10.00) for
transportation to hospital in connection with the above- stated l `i
injuries.
SECTION 2. The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby
instructed and requested to issue the City's warrants in the sum
of $144.50 to the Arkansas Baptist Hospital; the sum of $290.00
to Dr. Joe Shuffield, and the sum of $10.00 to Twin City Ambulance
in payment of their accounts in connection with the injury of J. C.
Cooper, City Fireman, who was injured while on duty.
SECTION 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall
be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
