AN ORDINANCE COMMITTING THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS,
TO ACCEPT AND TO MAINTAIN CERTAIN LANDS TO BE ACQUIRED BY
THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, LYING IN
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS,AS A PUBLIC PARK AND /OR
A PUBLIC RECREATION AREA FOR THE CITIZENS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE R OCA, ARKANSAS
WHEREAS, The Housing Authority of the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas will, in the future, acquire certain lands which
lands are located within the Cit- r of Little Rock, Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, The City of Little Rock, Arkansas is in need
of public park and recreational facilities and is desirous of
acquiring the lands hereinafter described for use as a public
park and /or recreationalfAcilities and other public uses;
NOVI, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, shall,
upon the acquisition and dedication by the Housing Authority of
the City of Little Rock, of lands hereinafter acquired by it for
the benefit of the general public of the City, accept such dedica-
tion.
SECTION 2. The City shall use and maintain the lands
acquired as a public park and /or recreational facilities and other
public uses.
SECTION 3• A copy of this ordinance, duly certified by
the City Clerk, shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of
Pulaski County and recorded in the deed records of the County.
SECTION The lack of parks and recreational facilities
in the City of Little Rock has, is and will in the future cause
juvenile delinquency, and this ordinance being necessary for the
public health, safety and welfare shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage.
