AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND REQUESTING THE BOARD OF
PUBLIC AFFAIRS TO EMPLOY AN ARCHITECT, ACTING UNDER
THE SUPERVISION OF A THREE -MEMBER COMMITTEE OF THE
COUNCIL, FOR THE PURPOSE OF DRAWING UP PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE RENOVATION OF THE LIT'T'LE RACK
CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT.ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Board of Public Affairs is hereby
authorized and requested to enter into a contract of employment
with an architect for the purpose of drawing up plans and
specifications for the renovation and reconstruction of the
Little Rock City Council Chambers.
SECTION 2. That the architect shall be under the
supervision and direction of a committee of three appointed by
the City Council from among its members.
SECTION 3. That the contract entered into between
the Board of Public Affairs and the architect shall be submitted
to the City Council for its ratification.
SECTION 4. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall
be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage and
approval.
