AN ORDINANCE DIRECTING THE CITY ATTORNEY'S OFFICE TO
BRING CONDEMNATION PROCEEDINGS AGAINST ALL OF LOTS 1
AND 14 AND PART OF LOT 13, BLOCK 4, PLUNKETTIS ADDITION
TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, FOR THE PURPOSE
OF WIDENING JOHNSON STREET, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City Attorney's office is hereby
directed to bring proceedings for the condemnation of Lots 1 and
14 and part of Lot 13, Block 4, Plunkett' s Addition to the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas. This property is described as follows:
All of Lot 1, Block 4, Plunkett +s Addition to the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas;
All of Lot 14, Block 41 Plunkettts Addition to the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas;
Part of Lot 13, Block 4, Plunke tt ' s Addition to the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, which is more accurately
described as follows:- Beginning at the Northeast corner
of Lot 13, thence southwesterly to a point on the south
side of Lot 13, which is 7 feet West of Southeast corner
of Lot 13, thence East 7 feet along the south side of Lot
13, to the Southeast corner of Lot 13, thence North 150
feet along the east side of Lot 13, to the point of
beginning.
The above property is necessary for the widening of Johnson Street
at the intersection of Johnson and 8th Streets.
SECTION 2. The City Attorney t s office is further
directed to secure a court order allowing the City to take immediate
possession of the aforesaid property upon its posting bond in an
amount to be determined by the Court. The City Attorney's office
is further authorized to have posted on behalf of the City a bond
in the amount determined by the Court pending determination of the
condemnation proceedings.
SECTION 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealegl, and it being necessary for

the safety of the citizens of Little Rock, Arkansas, that Johnson
Street be widened at its intersection with 8th Street to reduce
traffic hazards, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and
this ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon
its passage and approval.
