AN ORDINANCE TO VACATE AND ABANDON AN ALLEY RUNNING
NORTH AND SOUTH THROUGH BLOCK FOUR VIRGINIA HEIGIRS
ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROC K,ARKANSAS.
• WHEREAS%a petition was duly filed with the City Council
of the City of Little Rock,Arkansas on the 21st day of July,
1953,asking the City Council to vacate and abandon the alley
running north and south through Block Four,Virginia Heights
Addition to the City of tittle Roek,said alley being bounded
on the East by Lot 13 and being bounded on the West b4 Lot 12
in said Block;and
WBEREAS,after due notice as required by law the Council
has,at the time and place mentioned in said notice,heard all
persons desiring to be heard on the question and has ascertained
that the alley,hereinabove described,had heretofore been dedicated
to the public use,and has not been used by the public generally
for a period of at least five years subsequent to the filing of
the plat;that the owners of all the property abutting upon the
portion of the alley to be vacated have filed with the Council
their written consent to such abandonment;and that the public
interest and welfare will not'be adversely affected by the
abandonment
of such
portion of the said
alley;NOW,THEREFORE,
BE IT
ORDAINED
BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS :
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock,Arkansas hereby
releases, vacates and abandons all its rights,together with the
rights of the public generally,in and to that portion of the
alley designated as follows:
All that portion of the alley running North and South
through Block Four,Virginia heights Addition to the City
of Little Rock,Arkansas bounded on the East by the West
property line of Lot Thirteen in said Block,

Twelve,inclusive,in said Block.
SECTION 2. A copy of this ordinance duly certified
by the City Clerk shall be filed in the office of the Recorder
of Pulaski County.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be
in force from and after its passage.
