AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING THE ALLEY RUNNING THROUGH
BLOCK 5, McLEANIS ADDITION TO LITTLE ROCK, PULASKI COUNTY, ARK-
ANSAS.
WHEREAS, a Petition was duly filed with the City Council
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the i3 day of
July , 1953, requesting the City Council to vacate
and abandon the alley twenty (20) feet wide running through
Block 5, McLean's Addition to Little Rock, Arkansas, and being
abutted on the West by Lots 1, 2 and 3 and on the East by Lots
4, 5 and 6 of said Block, the alley appearing on the plat of
McLean's Addition to Little Rock, Arkansas, now appearing of
record in Plat Book 1 at page 203 of the Records in the Office
of the Recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Council
has on the day and at the place mentioned in the notice, heard
all persons desiring to be heard on the question and has ascer-
tained that the alley hereinabove described has heretofore been
dedicated to the public use as an alley, has not been actually'
used by the public generally for a period of at least five (5)
years subsequent to the filing of the plat, and for a period
of at least five (5) years immediately preceding the filing of
the Petition and the date of the passage of this Ordinance;
that the sole owner of the property abutting upon the alley to
be vacated has filed with the Council his written consent to
such abandonment; and that the public interest and welfare
will not be adversely affected by the abandonment of such al-
ley.

NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas:
Section 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby re-
leases, vacates and abandons all its right, together with the
right of the public generally in and to the alley designated
as follows:
The alley twenty (20) feet wide running North and South
through-the center of Block 5, McLean's Addition to Little Rock,
Arkansas, being abutted on its West side by Lots 1, 2 and 3 and
on its East side by Lots 4, 5 and 6 of said Block, the alley ap-
pearing on the plat of McLeants Addition to Little Rock, Arkansas,
and now appearing in Record Plat Book 1 at page 203 of the Records
in the Office of the Recorder of Pulaski County., Arkansas.
Section 2. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified by the
City Clerk, shall be filed in the Office of the Recorder of the
County and recorded in the Deed Records of the County.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage.
