AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND REQUESTING THE BOARD
OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS TO ADVERTISE, TAKE BIDS FOR AND
PURCHASE PARTS FOR A WRECKED AMERICAN- LAFRANCE
FIRE TRUCK, DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Board of Public Affairs is hereby
authorized and requested to advertise, take bids for and
purchase parts for a wrecked American- LaFrance fire truck.
The cost of said parts shall not exceed the sum of Two
Hundred and Five Dollars and Five Cents ($205.05), plus
freight charges from factory in Elmira, New York.
SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and since it is
necessary to the peace, health, welfare and safety of the
inhabitants of Little Rock that this wrecked fire truck be
placed back in commission immediately, an emergency is
hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in
full force and effect immediately upon its passage and
approval.
