AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND REQUESTING THE BOARD OF
PUBLIC AFFAIRS TO ADVERTISE, TAKE BIDS FOR AND PURCHASE
MOTOR EQUIPMENT FOR THE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT, REPAIR
DEPARTMENT, BUILDING MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT AND STREET
DEPARTMENT OF THE PUBLIC WORKS DIVISION, AT A SUM NOT
TO EXCEED $6,600.00 PLUS VARIOUS TRADE -IN ALLOWANCES,
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Board of Public Affairs is hereby
authorized and requested to advertise, take bids for and purchase
for use by the Engineering Department, Repair Department, Build-
ing Maintenance Department and Street Department of the Public
Works Division of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, various
motor equipment. That the total cost of such equipment shall
not exceed the sum of Six Thousand Six Hundred Dollars (62600.00)
plus trade -in allowances.

One 1941 Chevrolet sedan;
One 1946 Chevrolet sedan;
One 1949 Ford two -door sedan;
One 1939 Chevrolet truck;
One 19100 Ford pick -up truck; and
One 1940 Chevrolet pick -up truck.

That the items to be purchased, together with the purchase price
plus the trade -in to be paid for each piece of equipment and the
department for which they are to be purchased, are as follows:
Engineering Department - one two -door sedan ... 1,200.00
Repair Department - one two -ton truck ......... 20000.00
Repair Department - one pick -up truck 12100.00
Building Maintenance Dept. - one pickrup truck. 1,100.00
Street Department - one two -door sedan 1,200.00
SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall
be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
