AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE
NO. 5+20 OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS; REZONING LOTS 10,
11 and 12, BLOCK 202, ORIGINAL
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS,
FROM CLASS "D" APARTMENTS TO CLASS
"E" APARTMENTS; TO WAIVE THE PRO- •
HIBITION AGAINST PARTS OF TWO MAIN
STRUCTURES TO BE CONSTRUCTED ON LOTS
10, 11 and 12, BLOCK 202, ORIGINAL
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; TO
PERMIT STRUCTURES TO BE CONSTRUCTED
WITHIN FIFTEEN FEET OF THE FRONT
PROPERTY LINE FACING SFaNG STREET AND
WITHIN TEN FEET OF THE FRONT PROPERTY
LINE FACING WEST SIXTEENTH STREET ON
LOTS 10, 11 and 12, BLOCK 202, ORIGINAL
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; TO PER-
MIT THE CONSTRUCTION OF CARPORTS ON
LOTS 10, 11 and 12, BLOCK 202, ORIGINAL
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, there is now constructed on Lots 10, 11 and
12, Block 202, Original City of Little Rock, Arkansas, certain
frame apartments and residences that are dilapidated and said
structures constitute present danger to the health and safety of
the inhabitants of said structures and to the citizens of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, and;
WHEREAS, said frame apartments and residences should
be removed and the rezoning of said property will expedite the
removal,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 5+20 is hereby amended so as
to provide that:
A.. Lots 10, 11 and 12, Block 202, Original City
of Little Rock, Arkansas are hereby zoned as Class "E" apartments.
B. That part of Ordinance No. 5420 of the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas which prohibits parts of two main struct-
ures from being constructed on Lots 10, 11 and 12, Block 202,
Original City of Little Rock, Arkansas is hereby repealed.

C. Structures shall be permitted to be constructed
within fifteen feet of the front property line facing Spring Street
and within ten feet of the front property line facing West Sixteenth
Street on Lots 10, 11 and 12, Block 202, Original City of Little
Rock, Arkansas.
D. Carports shall be permitted to be constructed
on parts of Lots 10, 11 and 12, Block 202, Original City of
Little Rock, Arkansas.
SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. The existence of dilapidated frame structures
constructed on Lots 10, 11 and 12, Block 202, Original City of
Little Rock, Arkansas constitutes a clear and present danger to the
inhabitants thereof and to the citizens of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas. Therefore an emergency is declared to exist and this
ordinance being necessary to protect the public health and safety,
this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and approval.
