ORDINANCE NO. 9464
AN ORDINANCE GRANTING TO SIDNEY KAHN, ALFRED KAHN AND THE
UNION NATIONAL BANK OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, TRUSTEE,
AND /OR THE LESSEES OF LOT 9 BLOCK 74 OF THE ORIGINAL CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS AND HEIRS AND ASSIGNS FOR A
PERIOD OF 99 YEARS FROM THE 1ST DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1954 FOR
AN ANNUAL RENTAL OF ONE DOLLAR ($1.00), THE RIGHT TO EX-
CAVATE AND USE THE SPACE BENEATH THE SIDEWALK ALONG AND
ADJACENT TO THE EAST SIDE OF THE SAID LOT AND EXTEiVDING
APPROXIMATELY EIE VEN FEET (111) WEST OF THE WEST LINE OF
MAIN STREET.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That Sidney Kahn, Alfred Kahn and the Union
National Bank of Little Rock, Arkansas, Trustee, and /or the Lessees
of Lot 9 Block �4 of the Original City of Little Rock, Arkansas, and
heirs and assigns, be, and they are hereby granted the right to
excavate and use the space underneath the sidewalk along and adjacent
to the East side of said Lot and extending approximately eleven feet
(111) East to the West line of Main Street and to construct and main-
tain therein foundations, footings, structures and a basement to the
building which is in process of construction or any other building
which may be constructed on said property.
SECTION 2. Upon the giving of ninety days notice the City
of Little Rock may by action of the City Council terminate the lease
herein authorized in the event the property and /or space herein
leased and similar property and /or adjacent space becomes necessary
to use for the convenience, health and /or safety of the public.
SECTION 3. That Sidney Kahn, Alfred Kahn, and the Union
National Bank of Little Rock, Arkansas, Trustee, and /or the Lessees
of Lot 9 Block 74, of the Original City of Little Rock, Arkansas, and
heirs and assigns, be, and they are hereby granted the right to con-
struct and maintain ventilating grills level with the surface of the
alley along the West side of the West property line of said property.
SECTION 1k. That the Board of Public Affairs of the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas be, and it is hereby authorized and directed to
enter into and complete a lease agreement for the use of the above

mentioned area as hereinabove provided for a period of Ninety -nine
(99) years from the first (lst) day of February, 1954 at the annual
rental of One Dollar U��1. 00) .
SECTION 5. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are repealed only insofar as to affect this ordi-
nance.
