AN ORDINANCE TO CREATE EIGHT (8) POSITIONS OF TEMPORARY
LABORERS TO MARK AT BOYLE PARR WHO SHALL BE PAID FROX
THE GENERAL FUND AT THE RATS OF 8 EVE NTr -FIVE CENTS PER
PERSON PER HOUR.VORKLD, PROVIDED THAT. THESE POSITIONS
SHALL EE CONS I D AS ABOLISHED WHEN THE TOTAL SALARIES
PAID. HEREUNDER- AMOUNT TO THE SUM OF $2,016.00, AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
SE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That there are hereby created eight (8) positions of tem-
porary laborer to work at Boyle Park under the supervision of the Superin-
tendent of the Parks and Recreation Department. Said laborers shall be
paid from the general fund of the City at the rate of seventy -five (.75)
cents per person per hour worked; provided that their total salaries shall
not exceed the sum of $2,016.00.
SECTION 2. Said laborers shall be selected by the Civil Service
Comission in the manner as provided by law.
SECTION 3. The positions created herein shall be considered as abol-
ished when the total salaries paid hereunder amount to the sum of $2,016.00.
SECTION 4. Inasmuch as these laborers are to be used for the purpose
of improving the facilities at Boyle Park, the provisions of this ordinance
are necessary to protect the Public Peace, Health and Safety of the Citizens
of the City of Little Rock; therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to
exist and this ordindiiee shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and approval.
