ORDINANCE NO. 9480
AN ORDINANCE DIRECTING THE CITY ATTORNEY'S OFFICE TO
BRING CONDEMNATION PROCEEDINGS AGAINST A PART OF LOT
9, ALL OF LOT 10, AND A PART OF LOT 11, BLOCK 99 DODGE
ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, TO BE
USED BY THE CITY FOR STRAIGHTENING EAST 15TH STREET,
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS: r
SECTION 1. The City Attorneyts Office is hereby directed
to bring proceedings for the condemnation of a part of Lot 9,
all of Lot 10, and a part of Lot 11, Block 9, DODGE ADDITION
to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, more particularly de-
scribed as follows;
Begin at the N. W. corner of Lot 11; from point
of beginning run South along the West side of Lots
10 and 11, a distance of 100 feet to a point being
the S. W. corner of Lot 10; thence run East along
the South line of Lot le, a distance of 62.32 feet
to a point; thence run South 56 degrees 55 minutes
East across Lot 9, a distance of 52.65 feet to a
point on the East line of Lot 9, said point being
28.57 feet South of the N. E. corner of Lot 9;
thence run North along the East side of Lots 9 and
10, a distance of 78.57 feet to a point being the
N. E. corner of Lot 10; thence run West along the
North
side of
Lot
10, a
distance of
29.21 feet to a
point;
thence
run
North
56 degrees
55 minutes West,
a distance of 92.22 feet to the point of beginning;
containing 0.189 acres, more or less.
The above property is necessary for the straightening of East
15th Street.
SECTION 2. The City Attorney's Office is further directed
to secure a court order allowing the City to take immediate
possession of the aforesaid property upon its posting bond in

an amount to be determined by the Court. The City Attorney's
Office is further authorised to have posted on behalf of the
City a bond in the amount determined by the Court pending de-
termination of the condemnation proceedings.
SECTION 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in eon-
f list herewith are hereby repealed and, it being necessary for
the safety of the citizens of Little Rock, Arkansas that East
15th Street be straightened to reduce traffic hazards, an emer-
gency is hereby declared to exist, and this ordinance shall be
in full force and effect immediately upon its passage and ap-
proval.
