AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND REQUESTING THE BOARD
OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS TO INSTRUCT CONNER,.BALDWIN &
l FARRIS TO PROCEED WITH THE PURCHASE OF RIGHTS -OF-
WAY FOR THE LITTLE ROCK RIVERFRONT DRIVE; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, under Ordinance No. 9185 the Board of Public
Affairs was authorized and requested to enter into a contract with
one or more persons for the purpose of negotiating the purchase of
real property within the area designated by the Arkansas State
Highway Department as the location of the Little Rock Riverfront Drive,
and
WHEREAS, said contract has been entered into with the
firm of Inner, Baldwin & Farris, and
without delay;
WHEREAS, it appears expedient for said land to be purchased
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK ':
SECTION 1. The Board of Public Affairs is hereby
authorized and requested to instruct Conner, Baldwin, & Farris to proceed
immediately with the purchase of said lands for said rights -of -way
under the terms of the existing contract.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage.
