9532ORDINANCE NO. 9532 AN ORDINANCE WAIVING THE REQUIREMENTS OF SECTION 7 OF ORDINANCE NO. 7209.,. ADOPTED MARCH 10, 1947,WITN RESPECT TO MAXIMUM SLOPE_OF.WALKS ON PORTIONS OF. LOUISIANA STREET BETWEEN WEST THIRD STREET AND WEST FOURTH STREET AND ON WEST THIRD STREET BETWEEN LOUISIANA STREET-AND CENTER STREET, IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER,PURPOSES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: Section 1. That the provision of Section 7 of Ordinance No. 7209, adopted March 10, 194 7, requiring that all walks be constructed with a flat surface pitched toward the "curb at the rate of one- quarter inch per foot be and the same hereby is waived insofar as it relates to the walks constructed on or adjacent to the East Half of Lots Eleven (11) and Twelve (12); the East Seventy (70) feet of the North Twenty -five (25) feet of Lot Ten (10); and the West Seventy (70) feet of Lots Ten (10), Eleven (11) and Twelve (12); all in Block Eighty -Three (83), Original City of Little Rock, Arkansas. Section 2. That the walks constructed on or adjacent to the property described in Section 1 of this ordinance shall be constructed with a flat surface pitched toward the curb at the rate of not more than one -half inch per foot. Section 3. That it is hereby ascertained and declared that the construction of walks described in Section 1 of this ordinance at a slope of not more than one-half inch per�oot will better provide for drainage and afford better protection to pedestrians using the same. It is therefore declared that an emergency exists and this ordinance being necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
