AN ORDINANCE DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
ISSUE THE CITY'S WARRANT IN THE SUM OF 0'119,,570-94
TO JENNIE R. CAMPBELL FOR THE PURCHASE OF LOTS 7, 8,
AND 9, BLOCK 87, ORIGINAL CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, PULAS-
KI COUNTY, ARKANSAS, FOR USE OF THE LITTLE ROCK PUBLIC
LIBRARY, PROVIDING THAT POSSESSION OF SAID PROPERTY
SHALL BE DELIVERED ON MARCH 1, 1956 TO THE CITY OF
LITTLE. ROCK, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK.,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the surf, of x;119,570.94 is hereby appro-
priated out of the Library Fund for the purchase of Lots 7, 8,
and 9, Block 87, ORIGINAL CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, Pulaski County,
Arkansas, from Jennie R. Campbell, present owner thereof.
SECTION 2. That said lots are to be reserved for and used
to extend the present Little Rock Public Library Building.
SECTION 3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby di-
rected to issue the Cityts warrant in the sum of TI,15119s570.94
to said Jennie R. Campbell upon her delivery to the City of
Little Rock of a Deed to Lots 7, 8, and 9, Block 87, ORIGINAL
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, Pulaski County, Arkansas. That said money
shall be paid out of the Library Fund.
SECTION 4. That conditions of the Deed, which the City of
Little Rock will receive for a consideration of X119,570.94,
shall contain a reservation for possession of said property by
Jennie R. Campbell, the collection of rents therefrom until the
present lease upon said property expires on March 1, 1956, and
an agreement by said Jennie R. Campbell to pay whatever taxes
are assessed against said property, and to keep same insured in
a minimum sum of $20,000.00 in favor of the City of Little Rock
until March 1, 1956.
SECTION 5. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance

and approval.
