AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS, OF PARTS OF BELLEVUE ADDITION AND OF KING-
WOOD PLACE, AN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, upon the petition of a majority of the owners in
the area affected, who also constituted the required number of quali-
fied voters residing in the territory, as required by law, and after
due notice of hearing on said petition for the time and in the manner
prescribed by law, the County Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas, did
on the 25th day of May, 1954, enter an order annexing the following
described property situate in Pulaski County, Arkansas, to -wit:
All of the East 480 feet of the SE-r of Section 26, Town-
ship 2 N orth, Range 13 West, in Pulaski County, Arkansas,
lying North of State H ighway No. 10,
to the City; of Little Rock, Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, more than thirty (30) days have expired within
which any protestant could institute proceedings in the Circuit Court
of Pulaski County, Arkansas, to prevent said annexation, and there
have appeared no protestants to this annexation; and
WHEREAS, said above described lands are contiguous to and
adjoin the City of Little Rock at the Northern part of its west cor-
porate limits, includes a part of Bellevue Addition and a part of
Kingwood Place, an Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, and
will have a large amount of improvements placed thereon in the imme-
diate future.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the following described property, to -wit:
All of the East 480 feet of the SEA- of Section 26, Town-
ship 2 North, Ran;�;e 13 West, in Pulaski County, Arkansas,
lying North of State Highway No. 10,
be and the same is hereby accepted as annexed and made a part of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas; that said territory shall henceforth
be assigned and attached to the Fifth Ward of said City; and that the

residents therein shall henceforth be considered as citizens of
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
