AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING A PORTION OF
AN ALLEY IN BLOCK 4, BELLEVUE ADDITION TO THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, AND ORDERING A COPY OF
THIS ORDINANCE FILED WITH THE CIRCUIT CLERK.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the City Council
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 26th day of July,
1954, asking the City Council to vacate and abandon all that pant
of the east and west alley in Block 4, Bellevue Addition to the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, from the west line, projected south,
of Lot 4 of Said Block 4 to the east line of Second Street, as
designated on the Plat of Bellevue Addition to said city now appear-
ing of record in Plat Book 1, page 251, in the office of the Recorder
of Pulaski County, Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the City
Council has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard
all persons desiring to be heard on the question and has ascertained
that the portion of said alley, hereinbefore described, has hereto-
fore been dedicated to public use as an alley; has not been actually
Used by the public generally for a period of at least five years
subsequent to the filing of the plat; that all of the property
abutting upon said portion of said alley to be vacated is owned by
one person and said owner has filed with the Council his written
consent to said abandonment and has signed the petition for said
abandonment; and that the public interest and welfare will not be
adversely affected by the abandonment of said portion of said alley.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas:
Section 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby
releases, vacates and abandons all its rights, together with the
rights of the public generally, in and to the following part of
the following alley in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, designated
as follows:
That part of the east and west alley in Block 4,
RETX VUE ADDITION to the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, from the west line, projected south,of
Lot 4 of said Block 4 to the east line of Second
Street, as shown and designated on the plat of
Bellevue Addition to said City now appearing of
record in Plat Book 1, page 251, in the office of
the Recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas.
