OVIDE FOR BETTER ENFORCEMENT OF
PROPER LABELING OF MILK; AND FOR OTHER PUU..OBES.
BE IT ORDAINEE BY TIE CITY COUNCIL OF TfE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 19 That Section 4 of Ordinance No. 7023 is hereby
amended to read as followss
ion. Labeling anc 11 X bottles, packages,
cans, and other containers enclosing milk or any milk products
defined in this ordinance shall be plainly labeled or marked
with (1) the name of the contents as given in the definitions
of this ordinance; (2) the grade of the contents if said
contents are graded under the provisions of this ordinance;
(3) the word "pasteurized" if the contents have been
pasteurized; (4) the word "Raw't if the contents are raw. (5)
the name and source of the vitamin usedp in the case of
vitamin milk; and (6) the name of the producer or distributor.
The label or mark shall be in letters of a Sze and kind ap-
proved by the Health Officer. (7) The label shall not in any
respect be misleading in any particular.
Every grocery store, restaurant, cafe, soda fountain or
similar establishment selling or serving milk shall display
at all time, in a place designated by the Health Officer a
card furnished by the Health Officer stating the lowest grade
of milk handled and whether same is raw or pasteurized."
SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
repaale4.
herewith are hereby r-0-jae#6ed.. Unless provisions of this ordinance
are put into effect immediately, the peace, health and safety of
the citizens of the City of Little Rock, will be adversely affected
and therefore an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this
ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval.
